News from the Secretariat….. The Network’s Executive Committee Meeting: The Network decision-makers assesses the implementation of RAMPAO empowerment process 8/07/2017

Dakar hosted the annual meeting of RAMPAO Executive Committee (ExCom) held on Tuesday, May 17th, 2017, under the presidency of Mr Momodou Lamine Kassama, Director of National Parks and Wildlife of the Gambia and President in Office of the General Assembly of the RAMPAO network and the overall members of the Executive Committee. During the meeting, the state on the implementation of the institutional, organizational and financial Reform process of the RAMPAO has been assessed by bringing some necessary readjustments.

Some important questions have been discussed and the Executive Committee has not only managed to give some clear orientations to the Secretariat, especially when it comes to the implementation reports and the Network work plan for 2017, but also concerning certain key activities scheduled this year. These include the scheduled study for the working method and the legal texts of the future association that RAMPAO will be, the extension of the small grants program to the other member countries, the benchmarking study on the MPAs of RAMPAO, with the development of the strategic plan 2018-2022.

In the wake of that meeting, a few members of the Executive Committee accepted willingly to share their impressions….
